I also had this exact thing happen to me. I thought I had Lupus, my rash was so bad. After reading your replies, I took my old respironics comfort flap and put it over my resmed mask. The rash was gone in three days. I see my dr. tomorrow and have...

Yes. I have an allergic reaction, too. I, too, am wondering why ResMed doesn't provide some solution. I have been all over the internet. I see where sleepweaver offers a half mask, but not a full face one.

That looks interesting. Unfortunately, it won't work for people (like me) who have to wear a full face mask.

I found a WONDERFUL mask after much research. It is made by AEIOMed and is called the Headrest. Look it up. NOTHING touches your face except the nose pillows. You must see it to understand how simple it is and how comfortable. I've also made a cov...

Got the RemZzzs....they slipped off the mask at night and I ended up with another burn. Did not work for me.

I have the same problem from the Activa mask, dose anybody at ResMed aware of this problem. I am sure it's a Chinese froblem as the masks are made in china, ResMed people get your act together and release some information about alergies caused by ...

Thanks Jim...I ordered them Saturday afternoon while putting burn cream on my nose :> I actually made my own "barrier" out of a soft cotton until they get here and voila!...no more burn. My own was not the best....didn't fit well and blew in my ey...

I wrote several months ago and at that time, I got the lead from another blogger about the RemZzzs cpap mask liners. I bought a "sample pack" for ~$6.00 US and found them a wonderful solution. You get immediate results, especially if you also use ...

Okay...I'm back. Tried the Respironic and have a MAJOR burn like contusion on the top of my nose. It hurts like a burn. I'm back to square one.

Hi...I tried a gel mask and broke out from it also. I'm allergic to latex, and the doctor believes the breaking out is an allergic reaction to the silicone. My nose is itching like crazy. I've only been using CPAP about a month..have had nose pill...

Well, that's curious because after my post I took one of my older masks apart, removed the silicone part from it and replaced the newer mask's silicone part with the older mask's silicone part. Four days later my rash is almost completely gone. M...

I called ResMed about this, and they said that they haven't made any changes to how they make their masks. They did ask if I still have the shipping information as it has the Lot #. The container that the mask came in could have caused a differenc...

I happened on this thread through a Google search. Very interesting, as this is exactly the same thing that I have been experiencing with my new ResMed full face mask. One thing that I would add, and which I find odd, is that this only started ha...

I am very interested about these gel masks. I have also experienced some problems (contact dermatitis) as a result of my mask, & have tried just about everything--from switching mask brands, trying hybrids, &c. Does anyone know of any good gel ma...

For almost a decade now, I've suffered from a form off insomnia that only allows me to sleep roughly 6-7 hours per night, but the problem is that I don't feel rested in the morning. In fact, my body aches, my throat is sore, and though I want to s...

Your pillow is probably the most important sleep factor and many of us do not really know why you like or dislike your current pillow. What are you going to do when it gets worn out? Or doesnt it matter to you?

Delaney, I have found that going to the basics is the place to start. Cool, dark, quite bedroom. The mattress must be comfortable in the sleep position/s you perfer. The pillow must support you and your body in that position. Hope this helps!

If a doctor recommended viagra, why didn't that doctor prescribe it? I think that there are some interactions with that drug which are potentially dangerous, and I also have heard it has a hangover effect for some people. Lack of sleep can have so...
