Pillow Talk

Pillow Talk

I wake up in the morning with a red mark on the bridge of my nose. I tried cotton which only gives me huge air leaks. I usually have a reaction to the adhesive in bandages so I would have red marks left from that, has anyone had this problem and maybe have a solution?

Diana, I can relate to you! You should read the post I just replied to Kim, about that new product I've been using....

I just ordered a new mask and it is made out of a different material. I can't wear it.
I am very sensitive to textures. I wake up with a ridge on my right cheek
because I have to make it so tight. The leaking air sound can be very annoying.

Hi Diana,
I can so very much relate about having those "red marks" on my nose. I also was getting indentations on my cheeks from the straps. I too had problems with air leaking. It always sounded like I was whistling. What I did, I contacted the company where I got my CPAP and told them of my problems. They brought over several masks for me to try on. WELL, I finally got one that doesn't whistle or leave any marks and is extremely comfortable.
If anyone would like any information about the mask or anything else, please contact me and I will help out in anyway I can.
Have a wonderful day.
Gentle Hugs,
Karen

I am more than willing to try a new mask, what is the name of yours? I also got a reply from a woman that discovered something called RemZzz's and it is suppose to make the mask fit, take care of any moisture or oil from your face. I found it on a site www.remzzzs.com, I haven't ordered them yet but will be soon. I will try anything. Thanks for your response!

HI Diana,
I am also very frustrated with the marks on my cheeks every morning and would love to know which mask you are referring to. I was just looking at the ResMed website and looking at masks to see if there is something else out there I could try. Could you please let me know which model you are using now?

I am using the ComfortGel/Full and it is far better than the original mask, that one was terrible. This one is very comfortable but to keep from leaks into my eyes I have to keep it tight and therefore get that red mark across the bridge of my nose. Someone wrote to me and told me about RemZzz's and I am going to try it as soon as I get them. The web site is www.remzzzs.com. I have tried everything else the RT has suggested, cotton ball across the nose, moleskin across the nose, they all cause more leaks and with the leaks come puffy swollen eyes. I feel so much better using the CPAP I sure wish I could work out the "kinks" What mask are you using?

I tried the RemZzzs last night and I am hooked, no red marks on my nose, no leaking, no noise. Wonderful product!!! I ordered a sample pack that had 5 in it, used it one night and got on and ordered a months supply. The answer to my problem!!!

What is the mask you are using now that is so much better?
I started using the RemZzzs and it is wonderful, no red marks, no leaking, and I can use my face creams again. I am really happy with this product!

That's great! I'm happy for you! I also was glad when I could wear my face cream at night. I was worried that my skin would age faster than nature had intended. RemZzzs are my answer too, I won't sleep with them now.

Very much interested in knowing more about your new mask ASAP!

RemZzzs is not a mask, it is a thin soft absorbent piece of material that is cut according to your mask, I have to admit when I saw it (first I ordered a sample pack) I didn't think it would do anything but it has been a wonderful help to my problems. I no longer have leaking because it cushions where the mask meets the face and absorbs oils or sweat and eliminates the leaking. My other problem was a red mark on the bridge of my nose, this has helped with that too!!! Go to www.RemZzzs.com and take a look, I heard about it from someone on this site and I am so grateful. Let me know if this helps you!

By the way, the mask I use is Comfort Gel/Full the first one they gave me didn't work well at all but this one is very comfortable.
