Delaney,
I have found that going to the basics is the place to start. Cool, dark, quite bedroom. The mattress must be comfortable in the sleep position/s you perfer. The pillow must support you and your body in that position. Hope this helps!

Sleeping is different for everyone. Determining what types of things are interrupting your sleep can help you pinpoint what mattress is best for you. If you wake up with headaches, have allergies, or feel you need to specifically be able to pick out the firmness/softness of your mattress - I would say try an organic. Sleep number beds and temperpedic beds may be comfortable but are filled with toxins that can affect not only your health, but also your sleep.

This sites has some GREAT information on the mattress industry today (not just organics): http://www.savvyrest.com/mattress-industry-today

And if you want to read more specifically about organic mattresses, I would check out: http://www.savvyrest.com/why-savvy-rest

Anyways, I hope you get the advice you're looking for and that this helps! Good luck!

There are three key elements for a great mattress: 1) less pressure; 2) spinal alignment; and, 3) recessed body support. Nothing beats intelligel in all three of these elements. And best of all it is non toxic.
